Body dysmorphic disorder is also known as BDD

They are characterized by exaggerated concern for an imaginary body defect or minimum, of which the person has a distorted and exaggerated. The BDD has been extensively studied in recent years because appearance is a high percentage of these patients who need hospitalization, suicide attempts and accomplishes presents a marked deterioration in the quality of life. The majority of people suffering from this disorder, undergoing surgical or dermatological treatments that are usually ineffective and leave the patient at the point of departure and the search for a new remedial action.
